Carlos R. Nine, Designer

I am an award-winning theatrical designer of over 60 shows in large- and small-scale indoor and outdoor theatres, children’s theatres, dance performances and concerts, including adaptations for sensory friendly performances.

I was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Slidell, Louisiana. I graduated with a BA in Theatre from the University of Southern Mississippi and an MFA from Texas State University. My designs express a director's vision and my own identity through the use of vibrant colors and through my expertise in lighting people of color for the stage. I am raising two daughters with my wife in San Antonio, Texas.
